Twin Towers

We are filming something in front of the World Trade Center. I think it's a commercial, but the crew and set-up make it seem more like a film. It's a big production and when they call "action" I walk straight towards a giant fan that blows a red and pink scarf off of my neck. In the background a boat crashes into the marina. We do several takes. I am hoping today is not the day. I check the color of the sky to see how blue it is.

My dad is there. We are chatting and suddenly we are surrounded by tourists asking us questions. They are looking for information about the WTC. My dad doesn't say anything to them and they begin to wander away. I call after an older man in a green windbreaker "Tower 2! There is an office in Tower 2! That's where we got our permits from".

Now we are inside Tower 2. I know we are in the WTC but it looks more like the National Arts Club or The Players Club or even my old acting school. There are tiny stairways and tons of rooms. Every room is old fashioned looking like both clubs and there are pictures lining the walls. We come into one beautiful room full of dark wood and nothing but a bench for furniture, and there is my Uncle! We are so happy to see him since he died in 1990. He and my dad start to discuss the twins and talk about the wedding day. I'm not sure which wedding they are talking about and I wander over to the pictures.

The pictures show beautiful gardens outside the WTC. I am confused by this since I don't remember these gardens, so I assume they must have been there before they built the buildings. It seems that the gardens were often used for filming many many movies. There is a picture of 3 woman dressed up in Edwardian clothes. One looks like Agnes Moorehead but it's labeled "Ava Gardner". Her teeth are rotted from smoking. I turn to my dad and uncle and say that it makes sense now, that I had read a book about how her hotel was in Midtown and she didn't want to get into a cab and go to set.

My Uncle is gone and it's just me and my dad. I suggest we move on to other rooms and look at all the other pictures. I put my arm in his.

"Sorry, but I just got up."
"No problem. I'm a little early. I wanted to see if the game is on."
"Yeah, it just started. Have a seat."
So Will Smith sits on my couch, and I am apalled at the condition of my apartment. I start straightening things up, but then remember that I still need to take a shower so that we can get going.

As I walk back to the bedroom, I am arranging the random things I come across and making their lines perpendicular to whatever they were resting on in the first place. I pick up a few stray shirt from the end of the bed...and I can tell something is wrong...why is the computer area so clean?

Ah. The computer has been stolen. That thing was a pain in the ass to get just the way I wanted it, and now it's gone. Damnit!
