final five

We are in a competition. It's a standing roller coaster and we are locked in with our hands over our heads. The girl in front of me is the weak link. She looks like the murderer. She is wiggling around and someone is saying to turn the other way so that when the things touch you, you are protected. The object is to be silent.

The next part of the race is in our old front yard. I am standing on top of the hill and we have to launch eggs at a target. The target is so far and I don't have the arm strength. It's moving closer and I hit it and BAM.

Bubble Yell

i am in NY. V is filming and I am waiting for his day to finish. The hotel is nice. They are shooting The Godfather in the hallway where my room is and I ruin the shot when I get off the elevator. The hallways are twisty and the hotel is old. I sit on the bed in the room and take my shoes off.

There is a stage and we are shooting something with Billy Idol. We've been working all day and are tired. My lips start to bubble up and I see that my whole face is bubbling up in the reflection of the set piece.

Saks at Christmas

I am working in an office. It's an LA company but it's in NY. The building is old. There are calendars hanging on pipes. We are locking up but there is something wrong with the keys. So GC stays behind. I walk down the steps and we are on the street and it is snowing. We wander into Saks next door but it doesn't look like the front of Saks. It's bustling with people - and I see my father in law in the crowd but when he sees me he walks the other way. He's Christmas shopping for us and doesn't want us to see the gifts.

We go to the cafe and have lunch. It's full of old ladies.

Good for Mei

I am going to China. I am packing my bags in the apartment I grew up in. The furniture is completely different - like someone has moved out. The bookshelves have gaps on them. I am packing light things, sleeveless things. I go to the kitchen to get a snack. My dad comes out and I tell him that I am not packing any shoes because when I go there I will buy tons of those slippers like they have at Pearl River. The only shoes I pack are made of white and blue porcelin.

The plane is like a giant rectangle that moves through space. It's gorgeous chocolate leather and palm fronds with a giant picture window at the front. I am in business class and it's swanky like a cocktail lounge. There is a woman who looks like HH having a martini on the step below me. My phone is like a palm pilot and I am talking to XOLondon who has been to China a million times. We are discussing wardrobe and weather. check check check check. As the plane takes off I say please look in on my parents if anything happens to me but the line is dead.

In China the streets are packed. There are millions of colors all around and neon lights. I see street kids and I am talking with them. They all carry knives. A homeless man in a purple tutu comes near me and I recognize him as the roller skating man on Robertson. He is wearing a green tank top and his scarf falls off. I grab it and chase him through the stores. When I come back the kids are gone. I cross the street to the train station and I hear XOLondon's voice in my head telling me about the famous Beijing subway system. I am looking for my mother, we are supposed to meet here but I am lost and all the corridors look the same.
